My name is Jacob Randall, I am a contractor and the owner of My Handyman Jake LLC license# BC809121. Here is a brief explanation of my extensive experience in the commercial and residential construction industry. The work I’ve done in the past has been a mixture of both commercial and residential. Among various other projects I currently contract with a local preschool with 5 locations here in the metro area for all of their smaller projects, and I formerly worked with Nokomis Property Management in both commercial and residential settings doing much of the non-specialized work (non-specialized ie. plumbing, electrical, roofing, etc.) including: cold form steel and wood wall framing (commercial and residential), wall coverings (commercial and residential), painting (commercial and residential), drop ceiling install and maintenance (commercial and residential), door installs (commercial and residential), and floor coverings (commercial and residential). I also do some hardscape projects such as paver patios and walkways, retaining walls, pergolas, arbors, and more.
Although I’m not a carpenter by trade, my grandfather and father were both carpenters and custom cabinet builders so I’ve been exposed to and participated in many of their projects from a young age, including helping to build our family’s new garage when I was 10 years old! I’ve been taking on small projects for around 20 years while working a “regular” job. In the spring of 2024 I made the leap from doing smaller projects on the side into working for myself full-time. I’m licensed, bonded, and fully insured and I specialize in projects that are too small for the bigger contracting companies, but too big for homeowners and small businesses, as well as repairs, fixture replacement (lights, outlets, ceiling fans), and just about anything else that doesn’t require a specialized license.
